Climb collects nothing. Below is what that means in practice.
Nothing. Climb has no account system, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It makes no network requests, so there is no server for your data to reach even in principle.
Your fasts — start and end times, goals, and any notes you write — are stored on your device, in a container shared between the app, its widgets and the Apple Watch app so they can all show the same thing.
If you have device backups switched on, that data is included in your backup, the same as any other app’s. That is between you and Apple; we never see it.
When a fast is running, your iPhone sends the current fast to your Apple Watch so the watch app and complications can display it. This travels directly between your two devices over Apple’s connection between them. It does not pass through us.
If you share a fast or a streak as an image, that image is drawn on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. We do not create it, see it, or know where you sent it. It contains only what is visible in the picture — no hidden identifier, no link back to us.
Stage notifications are scheduled locally by your device. They are not push notifications and involve no server.
Delete individual fasts in the app, or delete the app to remove everything at once. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, that is the whole of it. There is no account to close and nothing to request from us.
Climb is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it. Any release that starts collecting data would be described here first — though the intention is that no such release exists.
